The round louver damper is a specialized airflow control component tailored for circular ductwork, integrating multi-blade louver structure with a circular frame. It is primarily used to regulate air volume, balance pressure and cut off airflow in ventilation, air conditioning, exhaust and industrial duct systems. Different from rectangular louver dampers, its round profile perfectly matches standard round ducts, ensuring smooth airflow transition and neat pipeline layout, which makes it a common choice for circular air distribution systems.
This damper is mainly assembled with a seamless circular steel frame, multiple parallel louver blades, linkage transmission parts and an operating mechanism. The frame and blades are mostly made of galvanized steel or carbon steel, featuring solid structure, rust resistance and long service life. All blades are connected by a synchronous linkage, so they rotate simultaneously at the same angle during operation. It can be configured with manual handwheel, electric or pneumatic actuators to meet diverse control demands. When blades turn to 90 degrees and align with the airflow direction, the damper is fully open with minimum flow resistance. When blades are fully closed, they fit tightly with one another to form an effective seal and stop air circulation completely. Users can also set the blades at any intermediate position to achieve stepless adjustment of air volume.
This product has multiple practical strengths. Firstly, the circular design fits circular ducts seamlessly, requiring no extra conversion fittings and simplifying installation work. Secondly, the multi-blade layout delivers large flow capacity and precise airflow regulation, performing excellently in pressure balancing for complex duct networks. Thirdly, the all-steel construction boasts high mechanical strength, capable of withstanding positive and negative air pressure without deformation. The smooth blade surface is not easy to trap dust, reducing the frequency of routine cleaning and maintenance. In addition, the overall structure is compact and lightweight, which saves installation space and lowers the load of duct systems.
Available in a complete range of diameters to fit various duct specifications, the round louver damper enjoys broad application scope. It is widely adopted in central air conditioning systems of office buildings, shopping malls and residential buildings, ventilation and exhaust pipelines of factory workshops, underground parking lots, as well as dust removal and general hot air circulation systems in light industry. Whether for regular air regulation, temporary pipeline isolation or overall system pressure balance, it maintains stable and reliable performance. With reasonable design, cost effectiveness and strong adaptability, it has become an indispensable standard component for circular duct ventilation projects.
