The Gravity Vee Diverter is a cost-effective, power-free diversion device widely used in gravity bulk material conveying systems across power, coal, cement, metallurgy, grain and chemical industries. Designed with a core V-shaped deflector, it is installed at silo outlets, transfer chutes and vertical pipelines to split or switch the flow of powder, granules and small lump materials. Featuring simple structure, smooth material passing and reliable performance, it is a preferred solution for two-way material distribution in conventional gravity feeding lines.
This equipment operates purely by material gravity without any external power supply. When materials fall down from the upper section, they strike the central V-shaped baffle. The two inclined surfaces of the baffle naturally divide the material stream and guide it to the two separate discharge outlets. Operators can manually adjust the deflection angle of the Vee plate to change the material proportion between the two outlets, or shift the baffle to fully direct all materials to a single pipeline. The streamlined internal geometry lowers flow resistance and material impact, effectively preventing material bridging, accumulation and blockage during long-term continuous operation. Its mechanical action is stable with no complex transmission parts, ensuring consistent diversion performance under normal working pressure.
The entire body is welded with high-strength carbon steel plates for excellent structural rigidity and impact resistance. The V-shaped deflector and inner wall are equipped with thick wear-resistant liners to withstand long-term scouring by abrasive materials such as coal powder and ore grains. The rotating shaft is fitted with dust-proof bearings and sealing components, enabling flexible angle adjustment while stopping dust leakage. The fully enclosed casing avoids material splashing and dust emission, complying with on-site environmental standards. Standard chute and flange connections are adopted for inlet and outlet, allowing quick installation and connection with existing pipelines without major modification. The compact overall size makes it adaptable to limited installation space and various vertical or inclined chute layouts.
To meet different production demands, this diverter can be equipped with manual, pneumatic or electric regulating mechanisms optionally. Manual type is easy to operate and suitable for frequent on-site adjustment; pneumatic and electric versions support remote control and automatic switching, which can be linked with the factory central control system to realize unmanned operation. In terms of service performance, it boasts low failure rate, few vulnerable parts and convenient daily inspection and maintenance, greatly reducing later operation costs. It is well compatible with materials of different particle sizes and moderate moisture content, showing strong adaptability to diverse working conditions.
As a classic gravity diversion equipment, the Gravity Vee Diverter integrates energy saving, durability and practicality. It reasonably distributes material flow and optimizes the operation flexibility of conveying lines. With outstanding cost performance and stable working effect, it has been widely applied in various bulk material handling projects and becomes an essential auxiliary equipment for modern industrial gravity conveying systems.
