The Gravity Diverter Valve is a reliable flow switching device widely used in bulk material conveying systems for industries including power, coal, cement, metallurgy, chemical and grain processing. Relying purely on material gravity and mechanical structure instead of external power sources, it is designed to split or switch the flow of dry bulk materials such as pulverized coal, wood chips, ore powder, grains and granular raw materials. It can divert a single material stream into two different pipelines, or switch material flow between two conveying routes, realizing automatic distribution and direction change. With simple structure, stable performance and low operation cost, it has become a standard auxiliary equipment for dry powder and granular material conveying lines.
The working principle of this valve is based on gravity and mechanical swing diversion. When bulk materials fall down from the upper feeding pipe under gravity, they hit the internal swing baffle inside the valve body. The adjustable diversion baffle swings flexibly according to the set angle, guiding the incoming materials to one of the two lower discharge outlets. Operators can manually adjust the baffle angle in advance to fix the material flow direction, or switch the diversion direction on site as required. Since it operates completely depending on the gravity of materials, no electric motor, cylinder or other driving devices are needed. The whole process runs smoothly without blocking, and materials will not accumulate inside the valve cavity. Even under continuous high-load feeding conditions, it can maintain long-term stable diversion work.
The main body is welded with high-strength carbon steel plates, and the inner surface is fitted with thick wear-resistant liners to resist long-term scouring by hard particles and powder materials. The core diversion baffle adopts reinforced structure to avoid deformation or jamming. The shaft parts are equipped with dust-proof and wear-resistant bearings, ensuring flexible swing and no stuck failure. The overall fully enclosed design effectively prevents material splashing and dust leakage, complying with on-site environmental protection requirements. The inlet and outlet adopt standard flange connections, which are convenient for direct installation and matching with existing conveying pipelines without complicated pipeline transformation. The whole equipment occupies small space and is easy to arrange in narrow workshop and pipeline layout.
This valve features remarkable superiorities. First of all, it saves energy with no power consumption, which greatly reduces daily operating expenses. Secondly, the mechanical structure is extremely durable, with few vulnerable parts and almost no frequent maintenance. In addition, it delivers smooth material flow with low resistance and will not cause pipeline blockage. It is applicable to various dry bulk materials with different particle sizes and moisture content. Manual regulation mode is intuitive and easy to master, suitable for most conventional conveying working conditions.
As an economical and practical flow switching device, the Gravity Diverter Valve undertakes the key task of material distribution in bulk handling systems. It ensures orderly material conveying, improves the flexibility of production lines, and effectively guarantees the continuous and efficient operation of the entire material transportation system.
