The pulverized coal feeder discharge valve is a core auxiliary device widely applied in the pneumatic conveying and feeding systems of thermal power plants, cement plants, and chemical industries. Serving as a key pressure-sealing and material-discharging component for pulverized coal processing systems, it is also commonly known as a rotary airlock discharge valve or star-shaped discharger. It is specially designed for the continuous, stable, and quantitative discharge of dry and fine pulverized coal materials, undertaking the dual critical tasks of uniform feeding and air locking isolation in industrial production.
Structurally, the valve consists of a precision-cast sealed housing, wear-resistant rotor impeller, drive motor, high-performance sealing components and fixed bearing assemblies. The circular inlet and outlet ports enable seamless connection with coal bunkers, pulverizer pipelines and conveying equipment, forming a compact and space-saving integrated structure. The rotor blades adopt high-strength wear-resistant materials and optimized structural design, which effectively resists the abrasion caused by fine coal powder and ensures long-term stable operation. Equipped with dual bearing sets and professional sealing structures, the device achieves excellent airtightness while reducing operational noise and mechanical vibration.
In terms of working principle, the drive motor drives the rotor impeller to rotate at a constant low speed. Pulverized coal falls into the blade cavities from the upper inlet, and with the rotation of the rotor, the filled coal powder is transported to the lower outlet for uniform discharge. Meanwhile, the tightly fitted rotor and housing form a reliable air isolation barrier, which effectively prevents the mutual penetration of positive and negative pressure inside and outside the pipeline. This air locking function avoids pressure loss in the pneumatic conveying system and prevents external air from entering the pulverized coal system, ensuring stable wind pressure and balanced material delivery.
This discharge valve boasts prominent operational advantages, including stable feeding accuracy, zero material leakage, low energy consumption and easy maintenance. It can adapt to high-dust and high-abrasion harsh working environments of pulverized coal systems, realizing continuous and intermittent adjustable discharge. As an indispensable key equipment for safe and efficient operation of pulverized coal feeding systems, it effectively improves the conveying efficiency of pulverized coal, reduces system failure rates, and guarantees the stable and energy-saving operation of industrial combustion and material conveying processes.
