The Power Plant Boiler Expansion Indicator is a standard mechanical monitoring device specially designed for thermal power stations.It visually measures and displays the thermal expansion displacement of boiler steam drums,headers,main steam pipelines and other key high-temperature components throughout startup,normal operation and shutdown phases.
It helps field operators monitor thermal movement in real time and verify whether displacement complies with design specifications.This device effectively prevents pipe deformation,weld cracking,stress damage and medium leakage caused by restricted or abnormal expansion,which is indispensable to guarantee the safe and stable operation of power plant boiler units.
Main Structure
Fixed Bracket&Base:Made of high-strength carbon steel,firmly installed on stationary boiler frameworks as a fixed reference datum.
Dial&Pointer Unit:Equipped with clear millimeter scales for direct,accurate and easy reading.
Connecting Rod&Universal Joint:Low-friction flexible structure,adapting to multi-directional movement and ensuring reliable measurement accuracy.

Working Principle
Perform cold-state calibration and set pointers to zero before the boiler is put into service.
As temperature rises,boiler components expand thermally and produce displacement.
The connecting rod drives the pointer to move synchronously to indicate real-time displacement values.
Once readings go beyond the allowable range,relevant inspection and troubleshooting shall be conducted immediately.
