The manual ventilation butterfly valve is a traditional and cost-effective flow control device widely used in various air duct and ventilation systems. Driven purely by manual operation, it is designed to adjust air volume, balance pipeline pressure and cut off airflow. Featuring a simple structure, easy operation and reliable performance, it has long been a mainstream choice for conventional ventilation projects where automatic control is not required.
The valve is composed of a sturdy valve body, central butterfly disc, valve shaft, sealing assembly and manual operating mechanism. The main body is generally manufactured from galvanized steel or carbon steel, which is anti-rust, rigid and durable for long-term service in normal temperature ventilation environments. The circular disc is fixed on the central shaft and can rotate within a 90-degree range. The manual actuator, usually a hand lever or handwheel, directly drives the shaft and disc to change the opening angle. When fully open, the disc runs parallel to the airflow, creating low pressure loss and ensuring smooth air delivery. When fully closed, the disc closely presses against the sealing ring to block airflow and prevent leakage. Operators can also fix the disc at any intermediate position to realize stepless air volume regulation.
This product comes with distinct advantages. Its extremely simple structure means fewer parts and lower failure rates, greatly cutting down daily maintenance costs. The manual drive mode is intuitive and easy to master, allowing on-site staff to complete opening, closing and adjustment quickly without complex training. It requires no power supply or supporting control circuits, so it can work normally even in areas without electricity. The compact size saves installation space and can be directly connected to standard circular or rectangular air ducts for fast installation. In addition, it is affordable with high cost performance, making it suitable for large-scale deployment in general ventilation systems.
It is produced in a full set of specifications to match different duct sizes. The application scenarios cover central air conditioning in commercial buildings, ventilation and exhaust systems in factory workshops, fresh air pipelines, underground garages, public facilities and residential ventilation projects. For systems that do not need remote or automatic control, this manual butterfly valve can stably complete airflow regulation and pipeline isolation. Thanks to its practical design, stable operation and economic value, it remains a fundamental component favored by engineers and contractors in the ventilation industry.
