The flue gas butterfly valve is a specialized flow control component developed exclusively for flue gas pipelines in industrial thermal systems. Differentiated from ordinary ventilation butterfly valves, it is optimized to cope with high temperature, dust, slight corrosion and fluctuating pressure carried by exhaust gas from combustion equipment. It mainly undertakes airflow regulation, pipeline shut-off and pressure balancing tasks, and is a core accessory for flue gas discharge, bypass control and system protection in various thermal facilities.
The valve adopts a wafer or flange connection structure, with the main body fabricated from high-quality heat-resistant carbon steel or stainless steel. Key internal parts including the butterfly disc and valve stem are reinforced and treated to resist thermal deformation and abrasion. The sealing system uses high-temperature resistant flexible materials or metal hard seals, which can withstand long-term scouring by dusty flue gas without premature aging or failure. Driven by manual, electric or pneumatic actuators, the disc rotates 90 degrees to switch between fully open, throttling and fully closed states. When fully open, it creates an unobstructed flow path with low pressure drop, avoiding excessive impact on the exhaust efficiency of the whole pipeline. When fully closed, it forms a reliable seal to isolate flue gas flow for equipment maintenance and safety interlock.
This product possesses prominent working advantages. Firstly, it delivers excellent high-temperature resistance, capable of operating stably under continuous high-temperature flue gas conditions. Secondly, the anti-dust structural design prevents ash deposition and jamming, ensuring flexible opening and closing even in heavily dusty working environments. Thirdly, it features strong adaptability to corrosive media, effectively resisting erosion from sulfur-containing and other harmful components in flue gas. In addition, the compact layout saves installation space, and the integrated structure reduces assembly steps and later maintenance costs.
Available in complete specifications for round and rectangular ducts, the flue gas butterfly valve has a wide range of applications. It is widely installed in industrial boilers, thermal power plants, cement kilns, metallurgical furnaces, waste incinerators and flue gas purification systems. It can accurately control flue gas flow, cut off pipeline passages and stabilize system operating pressure. With reliable performance and strong environmental adaptability, it has become the preferred control equipment for medium and large-sized flue gas pipelines across heavy industries.
